We’re building our team and hiring a Design Assistant to support Erin Roberts in all aspects of the interior and product design business.
Overview of positions
Freelance Independent Contractor
Seasonal part - time / project - based
Pay depending on experience
Remote and in - person work
1 month trial period to start
IDEAL CANDIDATE / WHO SHOULD APPLY
This is for you if:
— You have experience working at a design firm and/or a degree in interior design or architecture (required)
— You have interests or experience in furniture design, ceramics and photography
— You are excited about learning all aspects of the design process and building a brand with a small likeminded team of creatives
— You are detail oriented and methodical about getting things done well, carefully, and on time, and are dedicated and passionate about your work
— You are friendly, patient, calm under pressure, and able to respond quickly to emails when working remotely
— You take organized, detailed notes and like researching solutions for creative problem solving, are able to do work independently and like to brainstorm ideas
— You are available to work up to 15 hours per week with a flexible schedule and are legally allowed to work in the United States without sponsorship
— You are able to replicate workflows and different design styles with detail and accuracy

— Assist Principal designer in producing furniture and ceramics for namesake collection, product photography and editing, material ordering, local errands, uploading products to online store, product descriptions and pricing, packing and shipping out orders, researching shop stockists, creating look books, pitching products to magazines and stores, meeting clients by appointment at Brooklyn studio / showroom, seasonal pop ups, setting up and hosting booths at trade fairs, hosting shop events, unloading events and packing up.
Marketing & Branding
— Assist Principal designer in submitting project photography for publishing, researching magazines and product showroom stockists, submitting applications for pop up events, writing copy for newsletters, running online sales on instagram, apply for design features (maker moments, get the look, artist highlights, gift guides) , editing project photography for publishing .
